Ola Iva Sims, 88, of Fayetteville, died Friday, March 2, 2001 at Washington Regional Medical Center.
She was born February 26, 1913, at Drakes Creek, the daughter of Fred and Lizzie Ross Rogers. She was preceded in death by her husband, Ezra Sims.
She was a homemaker and a member of the Fayetteville First Free Will Baptist Church.
She is survived by: a daughter and son-in-law, Betty Sone and her husband Wes of Fayetteville; a daughter-in-law, Vicki Sims of Springdale, Arkansas; two brothers, Luther Rogers of Farmington, Arkansas and Kenneth Rogers of the Mount Olive community; two sisters, Lorene Merritt of Beeville, Texas and Alta McCarver of California; four grandchildren, Greg Sone of Farmington, Jeff Sone of Fayetteville, Kathie Gundlach of Springdale, and Charles Donaghey of Springdale; seven great-grandchildren and one great-great-grandson.
Services were held Monday, March 5 at Fayetteville First Free Will Baptist Church with the Rev. Jim Spurlock and Dennis Artman officiating. Burial was in the Stuckey Cemetery under the direction of Moore's Chapel of Fayetteville.
