SPRINGDALE -- Stillman C. Sparks, 75, of Springdale died Dec. 15, 2008, at Springdale Health and Rehab. He was born Feb. 6, 1933, in Murray to Troy and Lockie Thomas Sparks.
He was a longtime resident of Springdale and was a Baptist. He owned numerous restaurants in the area including The Corner Cafe in Springdale. He owned and operated Sparks Tree Service for many years. He served in the Army from 1951 to 1953.
Survivors include three sons, Johnny Sparks of Siloam Springs, Steve Sparks of Grady and David Sparks of Prairie Grove; his daughter, Lida Giachetti of Spokane, Wash.; his brother, Lester Sparks of Elm Springs; two sisters, Imogene Bowen of Springdale and Wanda Owens of Coal Hill; 11 grandchildren; one great grandchild.
Graveside services will be at 2 p.m. Friday at Shiloh Cemetery in Newton County with the Rev. Dorlan Sparks officiating.
