Era Kay Sparks, 90, of 504 North College Street, Huntsville, Ark., died June 17, 1991, at Huntsville Memorial Hospital. She was born Oct. 3, 1900, at Kingston, Ark., the daughter of Eugene Scott and Josephine Elizabeth Basham Stamps. She was a homemaker and a member of the Huntsville Church of Christ. She was the widow of Albert Densmore Sparks, who preceded her in death on Feb. 9, 1980. She was preceded in death by three daughters, Mrs. Alberta Keeling on Jan. 12, 1962, Miss Imogene Sparks on March 4, 1984, and Mrs. Mary Bolinger on July 3, 1987.
Survivors include one son, Elton Sparks of Huntsville; three daughters, Mrs. Golda Skaggs of Huntsville, Mrs. Rema Hill of Fayetteville and Mrs. Roberta McElhaney of Turlock, Calif.; three sisters, Mrs. Bessie Stout of Buhl, Idaho, Mrs. Floye Perry and Mrs. Grace Casteel, both of Huntsville; 15 grandchildren; 31 great-grandchildren; and 7 great-great-grandchildren.
Services will be held at 2 p.m. Thursday, June 20, in the chapel of Brashears Funeral Home with Jim Caldwell, minister, and the Rev. Butch Bolinger officiating. Interment will be in Alabam Cemetery under the direction of Brashears Funeral Home.
Pallbearers will be Terry Keeling, Phil Sparks, Jamie Sparks, Truman Skaggs, Shawn Skaggs and Arnold Luttrell. Honorary pallbearers will be Gerald Warren, Frank Davis, Pres Thomas, Leland Lewis, Gideon Howard and Earnest Spurlock.
