Vivian Johnson, 88, of Kansas City, MO, born March 19, 1925, to William Evan and Mittie Bell (Standley) Jones, in St. Paul, Arkansas, passed away peacefully on May 12, 2013, at her home. Vivian grew up in St. Paul, Arkansas, she met Arven Johnson, and they later married August 11, 1941 and have enjoyed over 71 years together. Vivian was a homemaker and in past years worked in the pharmaceutical sales department for Red-X in Riverside, MO. Vivian enjoyed helping people and received great satisfaction visiting with her family and friends. Vivian was a great cook and several of her friends stated you would never go away hungry at Vivian's house. She was preceded in death by her parents, William Evan and Mittie Bell Jones, her brother Ray D. Jones and sister, Margaret Hutchinson. Surviving are her three daughters Betty (Charles) Wilson of Dallas, TX; Glenda (Michael) Melvin of O'fallon, IL; and Shirley Chamberlin of Kansas City, MO. Seven grandchildren, Timothy (Becky) Mallen, of Lee's Summit, MO, Daphne (Jim) Shelton of Kansas City, MO, and Tracy (Brad) Wilson, Rainy Berry, Misty Wilson, Wendi (Dean) Murray, and David (Katy) Anderson, all of Dallas, TX; and three step-grandchildren, Mark Melvin of Belleville, IL, Michael (Lucia) Melvin of Smithton, IL, and Mallory Melvin of Smithton, IL. Vivion was blessed with eleven great-grandchildren, Carly and Chase Murry, Ryan Berry, Tyler Sanchez, Navaeh Anderson, all of Dallas, TX. Jeremy and Angelika of St. Niles, MI, Dillon and Shiloh Shelton of Kansas City, MO, and Avery and Owen Mallen of Lee's Summit, MO, and one step-greatgrandchild, Anastasia Melvin of Smithton, IL. The family would like to thank the staff of North Care Hospice for all their loving care and concern for Vivian and her family.
