Jesse Bert Curtsinger "J.B.", 91, of West Fork, died Wednesday, March 18, 2020 at the Willard Walker Hospice Home in Fayetteville. He was born June 14, 1928 in Snyder, Oklahoma, the son of Katie Mary Kaufman and Jess Shane Curtsinger. J.B. was preceded in death by his parents, wife Muriel Ruth Curtsinger, sons, Billy H. Sergeant and Tom Smith, and brothers Ray, Glenn, Brice, Henry, Dee and Jack.
He served his country in the Navy/Air Corps, and was a veteran of WWII and the Korean War. J.B. enjoyed playing games with family and friends, working in the yard, playing golf and always enjoyed an extra helping of ice cream.
He is survived by his wife of 42 years, Jean Curtsinger; sister-in-law, Loretta Curtsinger; daughters, Jody Lee and husband Malcolm, Jan Alexander and husband Dale; sons, Joe B. Sergeant and wife Norma, Tim Helder and wife Holly; grandchildren, Mike Sergeant, Steve Sergeant and wife Melanie, Greg Sergeant, Cynthia Ruth Davidson, Christine Alexander, Nolan Helder and wife Kasey, Clay Helder, Karli Waddell and husband Beau; 12 great-grandchildren; and five great-great-grandchildren, along with a host of nieces and nephews.
J.B. was saved and baptized at the age of 83 and loved his church family at West Fork First Baptist Church.
In honor of J.B.‘s wishes there will be no public service. Interment will be at the Fayetteville National Cemetery in Fayetteville, Ark.
