John Michael Heithaus

Age 78, a resident of Lincoln, Arkansas, passed away Wednesday, December 30, 2020 at Veterans Hospital in Fayetteville, Arkansas. He was born April 3, 1942 in El Paso, Texas, the son of John and Marjorie (Combs) Heithaus.

John served in both the U.S. Army and the Navy, and retired as a proud Seabee warrior. He loved life and lived it with zest. He was passionate about coffee, photography, turquoise jewelry, travel, and was a proud patriot who loved and served his country. He loved his wife Charlotte dearly, and they were married for 53 years. His children and grandchildren were a true joy to him. He was an incredibly generous man, who never hesitated to help or give to those in need. He was committed to his church, First Assembly of God, Lincoln and was devoted to his pastor Jerry Mizell and his wife, Sue. He was a man of tremendous faith and knew Jesus Christ as his savior and Lord. He's dancing with Charlotte in heaven today.

He was preceded in death by his wife Charlotte Heithaus and one son John Ivan Heithaus.

Survivors include four sons Guy Matthew Heithaus, Calvin Leroy Heithaus and his wife Hayley, Michael Zane Heithaus and his wife Rachel, and Daniel Anthony Heithaus; one daughter Christiana Hudson and husband Chris; seven grandchildren Lanikka Miller-Mogg, Jasmine Lowery, George Brooks Hudson, Lillian Paige Heithaus, August William Hudson, Aubrey Thompson, and Shammah Thompson and two great-grandchildren Lydia Lowery and Charlee Lowery

Viewing will be held Sunday, January 3, 2021 from 2:00-5:00 p.m. at Luginbuel Funeral Home.

Funeral service will be held 11:00 AM Monday, January 4th, 2021, at Prairie Grove Cemetery Pavilion. Burial will be in the National Cemetery in Fayetteville, Arkansas.
