Dona Ramey Bogan, 90, of Fayetteville died Saturday, February 6, 2010 in Fort Smith, Arkansas.
She was born January 26, 1920 in Brentwood, Arkansas, the daughter of Lewis A. and Josephine Hobbs Ramey.
She was a long time resident of Fayetteville. She and her husband, Ellis C. Bogan, founded, owned and managed the Paradise Valley Golf Club in Fayetteville. She moved to Fort Smith in 2000 to be near her daughter and grandchildren. She was of the Christian faith. She was an avid golfer, gardener, and enjoyed reading.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Ellis in 1980.
She was also preceded in death by her brother, Roger Ramey.
She is survived by her daughter, Judith A. Teas of Fort Smith A grandson, James Teas, Jr. and his wife Cathy of Alma Two granddaughters: Sherry Lynn Teas Muck of Fort Smith Melissa A. Teas Shipley and her husband Glenn of Lubbock, Texas Two great-granddaughters: Rachel Shipley of Lubbock, Texas Bridgette Teas of Alma Two step-sons: Bill Bogan of Anderson, Missouri Charles Bogan of Georgia Two nephews: Rick Jones of Elkins Roger A. Ramey of Fayetteville One niece: Annette Ramey Smith
Funeral service was Wednesday, Feb. 10 at Moore's Chapel. Burial was in Fairview Memorial Gardens.
Pallbearers were Jim Lindsey, Rick Jones, Rick Tanneberger, Roger Allen Ramey, Jerry Muck and James Teas, Jr.
