The 1850 US Census for Washington Co, Arkansas shows Enos to be a son to Aaron L. and Milly Mills. Aaron L Mills died before June of 1852. Milly remarried 27 June 1852 to James Dickenson. Enos married Margaret G. R. Roberson on 30 Sept 1855 in Washington Co. After his death, she married an Osborne in 1866 and after he died in 1867 she married a Daniels. Children born to Enos and Margaret were Susan C, Louisa L, Sarah Jane, and Amanda Mills. Siblings who may have survived Enos were an elder brother, John; younger brothers Lewis and Henry; younger sisters Sarah and Francis. According to Civil War Records, Enos Mills served in the Union Army, Co E and B, 1st Ark Cavalry, 1st Ark Regiment. This Regiment recruited in Fayetteville during the occupation of Fayetteville and later fought at Prairie Grove and Crosshollow. According to http://www.couchgenweb.com/civilwar/1stcav-e.html, Enos Mills entered the Union Army on 09 July 1862 in Washington Co. He was wounded at Crosshollow on 01 April of 1863 and sent to a field hospital at Fayetteville; later that summer he was discharged. Soon he was captured by rebels and released. However, he was killed the 7th or 8th of Sept 1863 by bushwrackers on the White River according to his Civil War file. (Updated 03 Oct 2011)
