Marilee Nebelsick Nelson, 86, passed away on Sunday, November 6, 2016, in Prairie Grove, Arkansas. She was born on March 1, 1930, in Lincoln, Nebraska, to Rhoda and Albert Nebelsick.
In the fall of 1980, Marilee, with her daughter Cyndy, opened Life’s Treasures in Little Rock, Arkansas. She later moved to Prairie Grove and opened the Antique Emporium, which she actively ran until her death. Her other passions included gardening, fishing, and reading. She was generous, humorous and loved her family. Marilee was also the strong and independent matriarchal head of her family. She had such a vivacious personality, the world shook when she died. She will be profoundly missed.
Marliee is survived by her daughters Catherine Frans Hall and Cyndy Frans Binder, their husbands, Dr. Benjamin Hall and Allen Binder, all from Prairie Grove, Arkansas; her grandchildren, Heather Hall Bottoms and husband Nathan, Jill Knoke McFall and husband Todd, Rachel Hall Kohutek and husband Mark, Cassie Knoke Clark and husband Kasey, Lauren Hall Bylow and husband Kris, Clay Frans, Molly Frans, Lauren Binder Ferguson and husband Travis; her precious 15 great grandchildren; brother, Jack Nebelsick and wife Bonnie; nieces and nephews Tom, Susan, Becky and Dan, former husband and father of her children, Robert Frans and former husband Larry Nelson. She is preceded in death by her son, Douglas Frans.
A “celebration of life” is scheduled for Friday November 11, 2016 2:00 P.M. at Luginbuel Chapel in Prairie Grove.
