Gerald F. Griscom
79, a resident of Summers, Arkansas, passed away December 4, 2012 in Fayetteville, Arkansas. He was born June 20, 1933 at Summers, the son of Leonard and Berlene Dodson Griscom.
Gerald was 32nd degree mason and a member of the Cincinnati Masonic Lodge. He was an Army Veteran of the Korean War. He was a past board member of the Bank of Fayetteville. He was the membership chairman for the Ozark Cattlemen’s Association. He worked for Lewis Ford in the body shop for many years. He enjoyed his family, farming, rodeos and the Razorbacks.
He was preceded in death by his parents; two brothers; James and Don Griscom.
Survivors include his wife of fifty-nine years Irena Wilson Griscom of the home; one son Dale Griscom and wife Star of Summers, Arkansas; one daughter, Shirley Baker of Pea Ridge, Arkansas; two grandsons, James Baker and wife Sarah and Scott Baker and wife Desiree; one great granddaughter, Henley Baker; two step grandchildren Ken Fenson and Niki Lysakowski; six step great grandchildren.
The family will receive friends Friday from 5:00 p.m. until 7:00 p.m. at the Luginbuel Chapel.
Funeral Services will be held Saturday, December 8, 2012 - 10:00 A.M. at the Luginbuel Chapel in Prairie Grove. Burial will be in the Old Union Cemetery Cincinnati, Arkansas.
In lieu of flowers memorials may be made to the Cincinnati Arkansas Fire Dept. or Old Union Cemetery in care of Sharon Barnes 12746 Cincinnati Rd. - Summers, AR 72769.
Pallbearers will be Michael Cox, Todd Griscom, Gordon Ray
Honorary Pallbearers will be Jack Thompson, Jerry Thompson, Larry Bilbrey, Oland Winn, Kevin Renner
