Beaty’s Company of Confederate Cavalry. He owned land near his father’s homestead, went to Texas with his brothers for awhile, but returned. He never married and died in 1896.

Horton P. (“Tump”) Beaty, a brother to the four serving in the military, was killed at home in 1863 by “Pin” Indians under the command of Zeke Proctor at the age of 25.
