He adored his family and everyone at ACTI where he will be very missed and always loved accepted and remembered. He was a true fighting Tiger, he loved supporting the Prairie Grove football teams, cheering on his brothers. He loved NASCAR, monster trucks and fixing cars.

He was the oldest living Hypoplastic Left Heart patient at Children’s Hospital, who took care of him for 20 years. He made such an impression on the nurses and doctors from 20 years ago that they still kept in touch with him. He was not only a pioneer in surviving heart defects, but a true gift from God. Hearts all over the world from Japan to Australia broken from his loss, but just as many from just as far away were healed because of what he allowed doctors to learn from his condition. People always told him he had on old soul in his eyes. He knew this day would come, he was only waiting for his body to catch up to his soul. D.J. walked with God so many times and this time could not leave God’s side to come back to us. This journey is complete he is safe and healthy and happy with our Father in Heaven.
