Glenn Edgar Hobbs
92 a resident of Huntsville, Arkansas, passed away August 7, 2012 in Fayetteville. He was born June 11, 1920 in Cisco, Texas, the son of Homer and Ethel Susie Evans Hobbs.
Glen served in the United States Army where he was in the 2nd Batallion 4th Infantry in the Battle of the Aleutian Islands in Alaska and was honorably discharged in 1945.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Margelean, two sons, Lonnie and Glenn Jr., three brothers, Buell, Elvin and Charlie.
Survivors include one brother, Wiley Hobbs of Oklahoma, one sister, Ida Pearl Martin of New Mexico. a host of nieces and nephews including Gary Elkins; his sisters in law, Doris Elkins and Bobby Pinkerton.
The family will receive friends from 1:00 p.m. until service time at the Chapel.
Funeral Service will be held Friday, August 10, 2012 - 2:00 P.M. at Luginbuel Chapel in Prairie Grove, with burial in Dutch Mills Cemetery threre will be no graveside services held at the cemetery.
Pallbearers will be: Danny Clark, Steve Pinkerton, Danny Pinkerton, Jody Pinkerton, Zack Elkins, Dusty Elkins and Colby Elkins
Honorary Pallbearers will be: Jack Briley, Jim Hobbs, Buster Tucker, Shane Hobbs, Heath Elkins and Marty Elkins.
