Annas Verlon Wynne
87 a resident of Prairie Grove, Arkansas, went to be with her Lord on February 27, 2010 at her home in Prairie Grove, Arkansas. She was born April 7, 1922 in Beebranch, Arkansas, the daughter of Pink Zechariah and Ida Bell McKim Kemp.
Verlon attended the New Life Covenant Church in Prairie Grove. She raised many foster children. She had a heart for children and was always taking in more children that had no place or anyone to care for them.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Eugene Calvin Wynne; two sons, Joe Calvin Wynne and Bill Wynne; one son in law, Bobby Birkes, three grandchildren and two great grandchildren;
Survivors include two sons, Joseph Z. Wynne and his wife, Linda, of Seminole, Oklahoma and Lee Q. Wynne of Prairie Grove, Arkansas; six daughters, Patricia Ann Dobbs and her husband, George, of Hindsville, Arkansas, Jane Birkes of Lincoln, Arkansas, Pam Carpenter and her husband, Larry, of Pawhuska, Oklahoma, Judy Wynne of Prairie Grove, Arkansas, Betty Bartholomew and her husband, Dee, also of Prairie Grove, Arkansas, and Dawn Phillips of Elkins, Arkansas; fifty grandchildren, seventy one great grandchildren and seventeen great great grandchildren.
Family will receive friends on Tuesday evening from 6:00-7:00 P.M. at Luginbuel Funeral Home in Prairie Grove, Arkansas.
Funeral Service will be held Wednesday, March 3, 2010 - 10:00 A.M. at the New Life Covenant Church in Prairie Grove, Arkansas with Dee Bartholomew and Bill Williams officiating. Burial will be in Old Union Cemetery in Cincinnati, Arkansas, there will be no graveside services held at the cemetery.
Pallbearers will be: Robert Birkes, Deon Birkes, Wayne Dobbs, Beau Gage, Billy Wynne, Dustin Shreve, Larry Haynes, and Shawn Wynne.
