Wanda Ladena Ramsey
Age 75, a resident of Summers, Arkansas, passed away Thursday, June 11, 2020 in Cane Hill, Arkansas. She was born October 12, 1944 in Prairie Grove, Arkansas, the daughter of Earl Franklin and Rosena Christina (Hemman) Hall.
Wanda was a member of the First Baptist Church in Westville, Oklahoma, where she loved to attend Sunday School Class with the late Edith Hickmon. She was a member of the Homemakers Extension Club for many years, a licensed cake decorator, she was an exceptionally good cook and hosted many family holiday and birthday gatherings. She was well known for her service at the "Lunch Box Cafe'" where she fed many cowboys, truck drivers, community locals and on one occasion the doors were closed to serve Merle Haggard and the Strangers.
She loved her flower and vegetable gardens and always had them on display for visitors to enjoy. Wanda's gardening skills provided many with canned food. She loved milking the dairy cows on the farm.
She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband Berlin Ramsey, and one sister Linda Hall.
Survivors include one son Kenneth Richard and his wife Lisa of Westville, Oklahoma; three daughters Joanie Riead and her husband Don of Blue Springs, Missouri, Missy Richard of Siloam Springs, Arkansas, and Janet Cox and her husband Eddie of Summers, Arkansas; one step son Scott Ramsey and his wife Michelle of Summers, Arkansas; three step daughters Brenda Eagle of Lincoln, Arkansas, Joyce Neeley and her husband Wade of Tulsa, Oklahoma, and Belinda Ramsey of Lincoln, Arkansas; four brothers Earl Hall Jr. and his wife Bobbye of Westville, John Hall and his wife Darlene Hall of Inola, Oklahoma, Dennis Hall of Westville, and Joey Hall and his wife Jessica of Prairie Grove; three sisters Carolyn Walker and her husband Roy of Elkins, Arkansas, Doris Abels and her husband Roger of Westville, and Carla McCrary and her husband Cliff also of Westville; seventeen grandchildren Chelise Richard, Kelvin Richard, Kyler Richard, Kenny Ray Richard, Keli Crittenden, Kasi Roberts, Kolbi Risley, Ashleigh Gifford, Kyle Cushing, Marcus Sturgill, Amber Holdridge, Oren Stokes, Mandy Roberts, Melissa Sanders, Cassy Melcher, Devan Marcus, and Audie Ramsey; and nineteen great grandchildren.
Viewing will be Sunday afternoon from 1:00-5:00 p.m. at Luginbuel Funeral Home.
Funeral service will be held 10:00 AM Monday, June 15th, 2020, at First Baptist Church in Westville, Oklahoma.
