Samuel Gideon Hannah

86, a resident of Lincoln, Arkansas, passed away October 25, 2007 at his home near Lincoln, Arkansas. He was born July 2, 1921 at Butler County, Ohio, the son of Curtis R. and Dorothy Mills Hannah.

Samuel was a twenty-six year enlisted Veteran of United States Air Force, serving proudly in WWII, Korea, and Vietnam; upon retirement his rank was Chief Master Sergeant. He was a member of the VFW, American Legion and Vietnam Veterans of America.

He was preceded in death by one son, Second Lieutenant, USMC, Samuel James Hannah, a casualty of the Vietnam War.

Survivors include his wife of sixty-six years, Nell Hannah of the home, one son, Alan Hannah of Texarkana, Arkansas; three daughters, Karen Wilson of Jackson, Tennessee, Lynda Goldman of Fletcher, North Carolina, and Mary Freeman of Lincoln, Arkansas; one brother, Curtis Hannah of Fairfield, Ohio; one sister, Gwen Keeler of Oxford, Ohio; eleven grandchildren and twenty great grandchildren.
