Carl Orva McComas, 90, of Cane Hill, Arkansas, died May 25, 2016 at Prairie Grove Health and Rehab in Prairie Grove, Arkansas. He was born November 13, 1925 at Fayetteville, Arkansas, the son of Stephen Lee and Ellie Chambers McComas. He was a farmer, a Seventh-day Adventist and a veteran of World War Two, serving in the United States Navy. He was preceded in death by two wives, Mary Williams McComas and Patricia "Patsy" Risner McComas, one daughter, Patsy Munyon, one brother, Harvey McComas, four sisters, Ella Wickham, Maudie Gibson, Bessie McComas and Minnie McComas; two grandchildren, three great-grandchildren and two great-great-grandchildren.
Survivors include: his wife, Dorothy Patrick McComas of the home; four sons and one daughter-in-law, Charlie Eugene and Ethel McComas, David McComas and Daniel McComas, all of Huntsville, Arkansas and Tom Pennel of Evansville, Arkansas; six daughters and five sons-in-law and companions, Carol Hammond and David Doss of Lowell, Arkansas, June McElroy and Arvalyn and Ray Powell, all of Elkins, Arkansas, Patty and John Swan of Cottonwood, California, Rosie and Ronnie Latiolais of Springdale, Arkansas and Carla Gibson and Roy Bynum of Farmington, Arkansas; one brother, Bill McComas of Booneville, Arkansas; one sister, Mary Lester of Farmington, Arkansas; twenty-six grandchildren; twenty-four great-grandchildren and one great-great-grandchild.
Funeral services will be held at 2:00 P. M. Tuesday, May 31, in the chapel of Brashears Funeral Home with Pastors Ken Blunddl and Don Gibson officiating. Interment will be in the Adkins Cemetery under the direction of Brashears Funeral Home www.brashearsfuneralhome.net of Huntsville, Arkansas. Pallbearers will be: Chuck McComas, Kevin Spurlock, Michael Jones, Wyatt Bynum, Cody Perkins, John Davis, Markus Hammond and Jacob McComas. Honorary pallbearers will be: Marshall McComas, Eric Beall. The family will receive friends from 6:00 P. M. to 8:00 P. M. Monday at the funeral home.
