Betty Lou Dobbs
Age 82, a resident of Prairie Grove, went to be with her Lord in heaven on Friday, December 1, 2017 at her home with her family by her side. She was born October 14, 1935 in Cottage Grove, Oregon, the daughter of William Howard and Eva Ruth (Plueard) Wright.
She attended and graduated from Cresswell High School. She soon went on to Marry her best friend and soul mate Mitchell Dobbs on March 13, 1954 in California. Soon after they were married Betty babysit a lot while Mitchell went off to the Army. When he returned home they soon moved back to Arkansas where they have remained ever since.
Betty was a homemaker and farmers wife. She was a good cook, she loved to sew, make quilts and crochet afgans. She made her kids and grandchildren countless clothes and stuffed toys with lots of love in each one. She loved to play cards and any type of game. She loved her dog Rosie.
She was preceded in death by her parents, three brothers Bill, Frank and Larry Wright, one daughter Deanna Pergeson and four grandsons Robert, Aaron and Austin Cole and Lester Dobbs.
Survivors include her husband Mitchell Dobbs; one son Mike Dobbs (Sandie); two daughters Ruthie Cole (Robert) and Geneva Dobbs (Myron Hamman); son-in-law Don Pergeson; the "other" son Bill Dobbs; her sister Nita Gillette; eleven grandchildren and twelve great grandchildren.
The family will receive friends Tuesday, December 5, 2017, 6:00 PM - 7:00 PM at the Luginbuel Funeral Home.
Funeral Service will be held 2:00 PM Wednesday, December 6th, 2017, at Cove Creek Holiness Church in Prairie Grove, Arkansas. Burial will be in the Scott Cemetery in Prairie Grove, Arkansas. There will be no graveside services held.
The family would like to thank Washington Regional Hospice - Genia, Christina Thomas, Rachal Hedge and Star for the love and care given Betty during her illness. A special thanks to Bill Dobbs who sat alot with Betty and helped with her so much.
