83, a resident of Fayetteville, Arkansas passed away September 2, 2007 at his home near Fayetteville, Arkansas. He was born April 14, 1924 in Savoy, Arkansas, the son of Edward Sterling and Edna Catherine Burrow England.
He was a member of the Highland Community Church.
Wayne was a veteran of World War II serving in the United States Army where he participated in the Invasion of Anzio and the Landing on D-Day. He worked as a carpenter before beginning work for the Arkansas National Guard where he retired after 34 years of service. After his retirement he drove a school bus for the Fayetteville School System and was a volunteer for the Wedington Volunteer Fire Department. He loved to fish at Clear Creek in Savoy and loved to build furniture.
He was preceded in death by four brothers and one sister
Survivors include his wife of 64 years, Wanda Starnes England of the home; two sons, Troy Wayne England and Philip Kevin England both of Fayetteville, Arkansas; one daughter, Joy Wadeen Chesher of Middlebury, Indiana; five grandchildren, Bethany Ann Gourd, Andrew Chesher, Rebekah Troyer, Melanie Lucas and Troy Daniel England; fifteen great grandchildren.
Visitation will be Tuesday afternoon from 1:00-8:30 P.M. with the family present from 6:00-7:00 P.M. at Luginbuel Funeral Home in Prairie Grove, Arkansas
Memorial Service will be held Wednesday, September 5, 2007 at 10:00 A.M. at Highland Community Church near Fayetteville, Arkansas with Donald Chesher officiating.
