--------
Timothy's will (1759) states that he lived in Albemarle Parish, Sussex Co, VA. He gave away many tractsd of land to his children before he made his will. He gave George (1738) 210 acres on the "branch of Poplar Swamp, known as Lightwood Branch" in Sussex Co, VA, and "to my son Thomas all my Cooper's tools."
Thus, he and his son Thomas followed the cooper's trade and made wooden barrels, bowls, buckets, etc. For a man who could not sign his name, Timothy must have been a good businessman to have such a large amount of land and etc.
