He was a retired truck driver and U.S. Army Veteran.

He was preceded in death by his parents, William and Daisy (Collins) Rankin; a sister, Jesse Teague.

Cremation arrangements are under the direction of Ocker Funeral Home in Van Buren. No service will be held at this time.

He is survived by his wife, Geneva (Seratt) Rankin of the home; one son, Jeral Rankin of West Fork; one brother, Joe Rankin of Mountainburg; six grandchildren.
