Willis Lee Winkler
79, a resident of Lincoln, Arkansas, died on Wednesday, July 31, 2019 at his home. He was born November 8, 1939 in Morrow, Arkansas, the son of Bert Eugene and Bessie Alice (Griffin) Winkler.
Willis was employed by the Lincoln Public Schools for 40 years. After his retirement, he spent his days working on the farm alongside his wife. He was an avid collector of Allis Chalmers tractors, having collected all of the D series. He was a man of faith, dedicated to his church The Sanctuary of Lincoln and highly respected by all who knew him.
Willis was preceded in death by brothers Homer, Bobby, Paul, Jim, sister Asalee Bredrick, brother-in-law Steve Johnson and wife Phyllis (Guess) Johnson, brother-in-law Wayne Johnson, daughter-in-law Kimberly Winkler, granddaughters Kristi O’Brien, Rachel Winkler, Marsha Winkler-Frost, and great grandson Sebastian Frost.
Survivors include his wife of 62 years, Nancy JoAnne (Johnson) Winkler, son Larry Winkler and wife Esther of Neosho, MO, daughter Debbee O’Brien of Lincoln, AR, daughter Sara Williams of Fort Smith, AR, son Jon Mark Winkler of Dutch Mills, AR, two brothers Hugh Winkler and wife Edna of Summers, AR, and Floyd Winkler and wife Brenda of Siloam Springs, AR; nine grandchildren and fifteen great grandchildren.
