LV Vickery
Age 87, a lifetime resident of Prairie Grove, Arkansas, passed away Wednesday, January 1, 2025 at Prairie Grove Health and Rehab in Prairie Grove, Arkansas. He was born December 24, 1937 in Cove Creek, Arkansas, the son of Charles Link and Ollie Bell (Phillips) Vickery.
LV passed away peacefully, leaving behind a legacy of faith, dedication, and love. For over 38 years, he faithfully served as the pastor of Liberty Eighty-Six Church, where his deep knowledge of scripture and unwavering commitment to his congregation touched countless lives. Known for his remarkable ability to quote the Bible chapter and verse, he carried his Bible with him to the pulpit but rarely needed to open it.
In addition to his ministry, LV retired from the University of Arkansas Physical Plant after a career marked by hard work and reliability. Even in retirement, he remained active and industrious, often seen mowing lawns alongside his brother Olan just a few years ago.
An avid outdoorsman, LV found joy in hunting, fishing, and woodworking. These pursuits reflected his appreciation for nature and his skillful hands, which crafted both practical and meaningful creations. Above all else, LV was a loving husband, father, and grandfather who cherished his family deeply. His warmth and kindness earned him the respect and admiration of all who knew him.
