Bill Thurman Sr.

69, a resident of Prairie Grove, Arkansas, passed away peacefully in his sleep January 6, 2010 at his home in Prairie Grove, Arkansas. He was born September 19, 1940 at El Dorado, Arkansas, the son of Elva Leon and Lillian R. Ragland Thurman.

Bill was retired from his service to the community as an attorney, rancher, and entrepreneur.

He was preceded in death by his parents.

Survivors include two sisters, Suzanne Dukewits and her husband Gary and Leone Chafin and her husband Gene; Five children from his marriage to Jennifer Thurman of Waco, Texas, three sons, Bill Thurman, Jr., Sam Thurman and his wife Marlana and Guy Thurman and his wife Anne; two daughters, Shelley Williams and her husband Todd and Brooke Thurman; seven grandchildren, Hannah Williams, Lily Thurman, Collin Thurman, Sarah Williams, Jacob Thurman, Eli Thurman and Gray Thurman.

The family will receive friends Saturday, January 9, 2010 from 2:00 until 4:00 p.m. at the Luginbuel Chapel in Prairie Grove.
