Billy Dee "Mr. Bill" Osborn
Age 93, a lifetime resident of Lincoln, Arkansas, passed away Saturday, October 23, 2021at Willard Walker Hospice Home in Fayetteville, Arkansas. He was born February 15, 1928 in Lincoln, Arkansas, the son of Dee and Isla (Rutherford) Osborn.
Billy had worked early on in his life as a truck driver, then worked as brick mason for over 40 years, lastly he retired just a few years ago from Lincoln School District after 25 years as custodian and gate keeper. He was a deacon at First Baptist Church in Lincoln, Arkansas, where he mowed the church yard countless years.
Billy loved his jobs at the school, he loved the interaction with the kids as well as the public. Everyone was always greeted by his infectious smile.
He was preceded in death by his wife, the love of his life, Evonne Osborn less than five months ago, his parents, an infant sister, one brother Tommy Gus Osborn, one grandson Ross Osborn, one granddaughter-in-law Cassie Osborn, and one nephew Bill Draper.
Survivors include one son Tommy Osborn and his wife Cindy of Alma, Arkansas; one daughter Karen Coleman and her husband Dale of Farmington, Arkansas; one brother-in-law Dale Hudson and his wife Gerri of Holiday Island, Arkansas; three grandsons Jeremy Coleman and his wife Kathleen, Nathan Osborn and Phillip Coleman and his wife Jennifer; one granddaughter Megan Jobe and her husband Keron; twelve great grandchildren; four nephews and numerous close extended family members.
Memorial service will be held 2:00 PM Thursday, October 28th, 2021, at First Baptist Church in Lincoln, Arkansas, with the family receiving friends prior to the service from 1:00-2:00 p.m.
