95, a resident of Lincoln, Arkansas, passed away January 9, 2008, in Fayetteville, Arkansas. He was born January 19, 1912 at Austin, Texas, the son of James Oliver and Lythia Robinson Ward
He was a member of the United Methodist Church in Lincoln, Arkansas. He was very active in the Lincoln, Senior Center. He worked for the Civil Service in the Marshall Islands for twenty-five years. He was a very family oriented, and proud of his large family.
He was preceded in death by his first wife Eleanor Vanderlip Ward, his second wife Dana Martin and two sons, Robert Ray Ward and William Dean Ward; one grandson Eric Hayes.
Survivors include two sons, James Eugene Ward and Jackie Ward and wife Connie of Lincoln, Arkansas; one daughter, Litha Stilley and husband Bob of Lincoln, Arkansas; one daughter in-law Rachel Ward of Elm Springs, Arkansas; ten grandchildren; Linda Mefford and husband John, Marty Hayes and wife Diane, Bobbie Reynolds, Patricia Force and husband Vic, Kaylene Dukeshire and husband Joe, Raylene Caudle and husband Kevin, James Ward and wife Janet, Rhonda Joiner and husband Herman, Rodney Ward, Jackie Ward and wife Lisa; thirty three-great grandchildren; twenty-five great-great grandchildren.
Visitation will begin Friday from 10:00 a.m. until 8:30 p.m. at the Luginbuel Chapel in Prairie Grove, Arkansas.
Funeral Service will be held Saturday, January 12, 2008 - 2:00 P.M. at the Luginbuel Chapel in Prairie Grove, Arkansas, with Rev. Andy Newbill officiating. Burial will be in the Sugar Hill Cemetery Lincoln, Arkansas.
Memorial may be made to the Lincoln Senior Center, 116 E. Parks - Lincoln, AR 72744.
Pallbearers will be his grandchildren.
