Homer Lee Tate
90, a former resident of Lincoln, Arkansas, passed away January 5, 2015 in Fayetteville, Arkansas. He was born October 11, 1924 in Savoy, the son of Russell Edgar and Eula Frances Smith Tate.
He was a member and past Elder of the First Presbyterian Church in Lincoln. He married Viola Jackson on October 27, 1946. Homer was a funeral director at the Luginbuel Funeral Home in Prairie Grove and Lincoln for over 45 years.
Homer was preceded in death by his wife, Viola Tate, and one daughter, Mary Frances Tate, his parents, Russell and Eula Tate.
The family will receive friends Wednesday afternoon from 6:00 until 7:00 p.m. at the Luginbuel Chapel in Prairie Grove.
Survivors include one son, David Tate and wife Marilyn of Elkins, Arkansas, and one daughter, Linda Munyon and husband John of Morrow, Arkansas; four grandchildren Michael Munyon and wife Donna, Jared Munyon and wife Anita, Rusty Tate, and Justin Tate; one great grandchild, Austin Munyon; two brothers, Max Tate and his wife Arlene of Farmington, Arkansas, L.D. Tate and his wife Dorotha of West Fork, Arkansas; one sister, Lucile Cann of Prairie Grove, Arkansas.
Funeral Service will be held Thursday January 8, 2015 10:00 A.M. Luginbuel Chapel Prairie Grove, Arkansas, with Rev. Dan Wooley officiating. Burial will be in Prairie Grove Cemetery. Grave side services will not be held at the cemetery.
