Shirley Collins Harrelson Traylor, 78, of Fayetteville, died August 15, 2015 at the Willard Walker Hospice Home. She was born June 20, 1937 in Houston, TX. to Truman and Rose Lee Collins.
She was a graduate of Elkins High School and attended the University of Arkansas. She worked for more than 20 years as Executive Coordinator and Corporate Secretary for B & B Resources, Inc. and Continental Ozark, Inc. She was a former member of the Northwest Arkansas Executive Women’s Business International and a member of Ridgeview Baptist Church.
In addition to her parents, Shirley was preceded in death by her first husband, James Harrelson in 1982.
Survivors include her husband, James B. (J.B.) Traylor of Fayetteville; two sons and daughter-in-laws, Jim and Mary Harrelson of Colorado Springs, CO. and Bill and Janet Harrelson of Centerton, AR.; one stepson and wife, Mike and Marianna Traylor of Prairie Grove; one stepdaughter and husband, Marsha Smith and Dave Donahue of Centerton; three grandchildren, David Harrelson of Elkins, Ashley Bryant (Scott) of Colorado Springs, CO. and Kayla Harrelson of Fayetteville; three great-grandchildren; five step-grandchildren; and eight step-great-grandchildren.
The family will receive friends from 5-7 P.M. on Tuesday, August 18, 2015 at Beard’s Chapel.
Funeral services will be 10:00 A.M. Wednesday, August 19, 2015 at Beard’s Funeral Chapel with Pastors Glen Faulkner and Randy Burris officiating. Burial will be in Fairview Memorial Gardens Cemetery under the direction of Beard’s Chapel.
