Mr. Henry Henson Burled in Prairie Grove Friday. 1 Mr. H. Henson of Strong City. Okla., formerly of Prairie Grove, died at Hot Springs, Ark., Thursday morning. May 11th, at 8:30 o'clock. The body was brought to Prairie Grove for burial, arriving here Friday morning.
Mr. Henson went from his home in Oklahoma to Hot Springs about two weeks before his death, thinking the waters of that resort would restore his failing health. but his condition gradually grew worse until last Thursday morning, when he quietly passed away.
For a number of years Mr. Henson was a resident of Prairie Grove, and conducted a Livery and Feed Stable here. He was a good citizen of our town and had host of friends here. He lived at Skylight, in this county, before coming to Prairie Grove,
Mr. Henson was born in Kentucky Dec. 20, 1856, but was reared to manhood in Montgomery county, Mo. He had been twice married.
He is survived by three grandchildren and one great grandchild by his first marriage. By his second marriage he is survived by his wife and four children, Henry Jr., and Claude Henson, who live at Strong City, and Mrs. Earnest Lewis of near Prairie Grove, and Mrs. Frank Simpson of Tahlequah, Okla. He is also survived by three sisters, Mrs. Moltie Verser of Woodward, Okla., Mrs. Annie Leonard of Montgomery City, Mo., and Mrs. Belle Gibson of Commerce, Okla. one brother, J. B. Henson of Woodward, Okla., and one half- brother, Henry Henson of Lincoln, Ark. The deceased professed faith in Christ several years ago and joined the Protestant Methodist church, but later transferred his membership to the M. E. church, South.
The funeral services were con- ducted at the Cumberland Presbyterian church at 4 o'clock Friday afternoon by Rev. F. R. Hamilton, and the burial made in the Prairie Grove cemetery.
