Robert Eual Hunton
Age 95, a resident of Lincoln, Arkansas, passed away Saturday, February 4, 2017 in Fayetteville. He was born June 2, 1921 in Broken Arrow, Oklahoma, the son of Robert A. and Elvira Elizabeth (Hudson) Hunton.
Eual served in the United States Army during World War II as a combat veteran of the 96th Infantry Division. He held the rank of Staff Sergeant (SSG) and had the position of carrying the BAR.
He was preceded in death by his wife of 71 1/2 years Stella Faye Hunton, one great grandson Jackson Cox Lane and nine brothers and sisters, including one twin sister Jewell.
Survivors include his daughter Margaret Mayhue and husband Jim of Lincoln and his son Robert Wayne Hunton and wife Kaye of Farmington; five grandchildren and ten great grandchildren.
The family will receive friends Monday evening from 6:00-7:00 P.M. at Luginbuel Funeral Home.
Funeral Service will be held 10:00 AM Tuesday, February 7th, 2017, at Luginbuel Chapel in Prairie Grove, Arkansas. Burial will be in the Dutch Mills Cemetery, there will be no graveside services.
