BOYD, Sarah Ann EDWARDS - Mrs. Sarah Edwards Boyd died at the home of her daughter, Mrs. Rosa Coffman, in Vinita, Okla. on March 28th at the age of 75 years. Funeral services and burial were held at Mt. Pleasant near Hiwasse last Thursday afternoon. Mrs. Boyd was born in Ash Co., N. Car. Dec. 18, 1858. She was the youngest of 11 children born to David and Jane Edwards and the last of that family to pass on. The family moved to Benton county when she was about one year old and practically all her life had been spent in the Mt. Pleasant community. A few years ago she went to Vinita to make her home with her daughter. She was married to James Boyd March 26, 1876 to whom were born ten children, all living until grown. Her husband died in Idaho a few years ago. Besides Mrs. Coffman she is survived by three other daughters, Mrs. Dora Henage, Mrs. Adah Ryan and Mrs. Minnie Ryan, also by three sons, Calvin, Lee and Marvin Boyd, all living in Idaho. {from Hiwasse} Sarah Ann Edwards Boyd was born in Ash County. North Carolina December 18, 1858 and died in Vinita, Oklahoma March 28, 1933. She was the youngest of eleven children born to David and Jane Edwards and was the last of that family to pass on. The family moved from North Carolina when Sarah was about one year old and she spent practically all her life in the Mt. Pleasant community. She went to Oklahoma a few years ago to make her home with a daughter, Mrs. Rosa Coffman. She was married to James Boyd March 26, 1876 and ten children were born to them, all of whom lived to be grown. Edgar and Metti Boyd and Mrs. Jennie cash preceded her while those living, besides Mrs. Coffman, are Calvin, Lee, Marvin, Mrs. Dora Hinage, Mrs. Adah and Minnie Ryon, all of Idaho. Her husband died in Idaho a few years ago and was buried there. She leaves a large number of grandchildren and other relatives. Funeral services were conducted at the Mt. Pleasant church Thursday by Elder Hunt. She had been a member of this church for several years. Mr. and Mrs. Will Coffman and Mr. and Mrs. Chas. Coonfield wish to thank the people of Mt.
