Funeral services were held June 30, at 10 o'clock, in the Callison-Sisco Chapel in Springdale, for Mrs. Laura L. Watson, age 73, who passed away June 28 after a lengthy illness.

Mrs. Watson was born November 16, 1881, the daughter of Thomas and Mattie Boyd. She was married to James I. Watson and they were the parents of six children. She was a member of the First Methodist Church in Springdale.

Rev. George Ivey and Rev. Sam Auslam conducted the services. Burial was in the Friendship cemetery near Springdale under the direction of Moore's Chapel of Fayetteville.

Survivors were one son, Ray Watson of Springdale; five daughters, Mrs. Otto Page, Fayetteville, Mrs. Clint Sly, Mrs. Minnie Christie, and Mrs. Bearden Vansant of Springdale, and Mrs. Dale Parrott of Huntsville; one brother, William Boyd of Huntsville, thirteen grandchildren and five great-grandchildren.

Pallbearers were Dale Parson, Jim Hargis, Ralph Brooks, Harry Hayes, Roland Ensley, and Clark Walker.
