Earl Everett Evans, 83, of Route 5, Box 12, Huntsville, Ark., died Dec. 28, 1992, at the Department of Veterans Affairs Medical Center in Fayetteville. He was born Aug. 23, 1909, at Drakes Creek, Ark., the son of John and Eliza Drake Evans. He was a retired forest ranger and a veteran of World War II, serving in the U.S. Navy. He was preceded in death by his wife, Mrs. Berline McChristian Evans, on Dec. 21, 1984, and by one son, Nathan Dean Evans, on Nov. 16, 1989.
Survivors include two sons, Herman Gene Evans of Huntsville and Clinton Earl Evans of Berryville; three daughters, Mrs. Doris Alderson of Springdale, Mrs. Janice Harrelson of Ontario, Calif., and Mrs. Barbara Giford of Goshen; one brother, Oral Evans of Huntsville; three sisters, Mrs. Oleta Hill of Springdale, Mrs. Wilda Burnett and Mrs. Walda Chaban, both of Stockton, Calif.; 19 grandchildren; 47 great-grandchildren; and 5 great-great-grandchildren.
Services were held at 10 a.m. Wednesday, Dec. 30, in the chapel of Brashears Funeral Home with the Rev. Butch Bolinger officiating. Interment was in the Huntsville Cemetery under the direction of Brashears Funeral Home.
Pallbearers were Gene Vaughan, Doug Vaughan, Shane Thomas, John Earl Evans, Tim Evans and Dale Graham. Honorary pallbearers were Buck Miller, Junior Vaughan, Darrell Wilson, James Parker, Bobby Cook and Bob McCall.
