Harrel Chancellor, 93, of Huntsville, Arkansas, died May 1, 2015 at his home. He was born June 13, 1921 at Mulberry, Arkansas, the son of Johnnie and Alice Neal Chancellor. He was a graduate of the University of Arkansas School of Pharmacy, a registered pharmacist for over fifty years and operated Chancellor's Drug in Huntsville until his retirement. He was a veteran of World War Two, serving in the United States Army, a member of the Huntsville Free Will Baptist Church over fifty years and was a sixty year member of Huntsville Lodge #364, Free and Accepted Masons in Huntsville, Arkansas. He was preceded in death by one sister, Norma Ruth Pennington.
Survivors include: his wife, Norma Lee Boyd Chancellor of the home; one son, Larry Chancellor of Huntsville, Arkansas; one daughter, Marcia Martens of Granbury, Texas; one grandson, Jonathan Chancellor of Birmingham, Alabama; one granddaughter, Tracy Haller of Huntsville, Arkansas and two great-grandsons, Nicholas Farmer and Jonathan Chancellor, Jr., both of Birmingham, Alabama.
Funeral services will be held at 11:00 A. M. Thursday, May 7, in the chapel of Brashears Funeral Home with The Reverend Lonnie Burks officiating. Interment will be in the Bohannan Cemetery under the direction of Brashears Funeral Home of Huntsville, Arkansas.
Pallbearers will be: Brent Sugg, Michael Haller, Greg Moss, Jonathan Chancellor, David Duncan and Mike Haney.
