Hazel Dessie Watson
92, of Huntsville, died March 16, 2004, at Washington Regional Medical Center at Fayetteville.
She was born Nov. 22, 1911, at Drakes Creek, the daughter of Jason William and Dora Drake Boyd. She was a homemaker and of the Assembly of God faith.
She was the widow of Clarence Nolan Watson, whom she married April 9, 1927, and who preceded her in death on Dec. 29, 2000. She was also preceded in death by one brother, Gilbert "Gib" Boyd and one sister, Mrs. Ruby Watson.
Survivors include: three sons, Eugene Watson and Jim Watson, both of Huntsville and Earl Dwain "Gube" Watson of Elm Springs; two daughters, Judy Gaines of Houston, Texas and Donna Buell of Goshen; eight Grandchildren; and nine great-grandchildren.
Funeral services were held Friday, March 19, in the chapel of Brashears Funeral Home with Bro. Johnny Case and Bro. Earl Jordan officiating. Interment was in the Huntsville Cemetery under the direction of Brashears Funeral Home.
Pallbearers were Randy Garrett, Art Callico, John Carl Ledbetter, Butch Stroud, Jack Boyd, Butch Watson and Mike Calico.
