James Edward Boyd
51, of West Fork died Monday, Jan. 30, 2006, at Washington Regional Medical Center in Fayetteville.
He was born May 30, 1954, in Fayetteville, the son of Wayne and Violet Atha Boyd. He was preceded in death by two brothers, Sammy Boyd and Ronald "Shorty" Boyd, a nephew, Jared Kiley Boyd and a sister-in-law, Jeanie Boyd.
He was vice president of Wilson Bothers Construction Co. in Alma.
He is survived by his wife of 30 years, Beverly Coker Boyd; a son, Justin Boyd and his wife Laura of West Fork; two daughters, Jennifer Hardin and her husband Brad and Crystal Kichline and her husband Brian, all of West Fork; three sisters, Carolyn Spillers and her husband Jerry of West Fork, Linda Jones and her husband Loy of West Fork and Peggy Williams and her husband Bill of Fayetteville; a brother, Jerry "Little Brother" Boyd and his wife Susan of West Fork; six grandchildren, to whom he was known as "Poppity," Hunter Hardin, Wayne Boyd, Ashton Kichline, Parker Kichline, Weston Boyd and Whitney Boyd; several nieces and nephews and many friends.
Services will be at 10 a.m. Friday. Feb. 3 at West Fork High School gym with Elder Bruce Coyle and the Rev. Mike Smith officiating.
Burial will be in Zinnamon Cemetery.
Visitation will be from 5 to 7 p.m. Thursday at Moore's Chapel in Fayetteville.
