Dixie Webb Miller, a resident of Berryville, Arkansas, was born March 4, 1929 in Rudd, Arkansas, a daughter of Emery Marvin and Emma May (Cassetty) Webb. She departed this life Friday, July 10, 2009 in her home in Berryville, at the age of 80.
Ms. Miller was a homemaker and a member of Towering Oaks Church in Berryville. Dixie loved spending time with her flowers and she was known for having a "green thumb".
She is survived by four daughters, Judy and husband Bill McDonald of Springdale, Arkansas, Joan and husband Bob Anderson of Berryville, Arkansas, Phyllis and husband Larry Montgomery of Berryville, Arkansas, and Sandy and husband Scott Sackett of Springdale, Arkansas; 12 grandchildren and 27 great-grandchildren; several nieces and nephews and a multitude of other family and friends.
On March 6, 1944, Dixie was united in marriage with Hugh George Miller, who preceded her in death. She was also preceded in death by her parents; seven sisters, Marie Weinmann, Bessie Miller, Mayzell Webb, Adele Lipscomb, Norma Webb, Urtle Alderson and Nola Jordan; six brothers, Travis Webb, Artie Webb, Jack Webb, Joe Webb, Ishmael Webb and Idus Webb.
Visitation will be from 5 until 8 p.m. Sunday, July 12, 2009 at the Charles M. Nelson Memorial Chapel in Berryville. Funeral Services will be 10 a.m. Monday, July 13, 2009 at the Charles M. Nelson Memorial Chapel in Berryville with Pastor Larry Montgomery and Pastor John Vandergrift officiating. Interment will follow at the Gobbler Cemetery under the direction of Nelson Funeral Service, Inc.
