Stanley Eugene “Gene” Jones
88, of Springdale passed away Wednesday, December 7, 2022, at his home surrounded by family. He was born August 9, 1934, in Fayetteville, Arkansas to Rufus and Mary Ida (Watkins) Jones. He was preceded in death by his parents; one brother, Stanford Jones; one sister, Murl Scranton; two sisters-in-law, Lorene Jones, and Gwendolyn Jones; and a nephew, Jimmy Palmer.
He is survived by his loving and devoted wife with whom he celebrated 50 wonderful years of marriage in August; two sons, Donnie Walker and his wife Mary Ann of Huntsville, and Bradley Walker and his wife Theresa of Hindsville; one niece, Barbara Stygar, which Stanley viewed as a daughter, and her husband Chester of Modesto, California; one sister-in-law, Nita Wright of Hindsville; five grandchildren; 18 great-great-grandchildren; and extended family members Russell and Barbara Boss of Broken Arrow, Oklahoma.
Gene had a love for feeding hummingbirds, and gardening. He also enjoyed his visits to his local McDonald’s where he would meet and visit with his buddies. He was a member of Abundant Life Pentecostal Church of God in Springdale.
Graveside Service will be held at 3:00 pm Saturday, December 10, 2022, at Farmington Cemetery under the direction of Moore’s Chapel.
