Marvin O'Dell Sparks

I added this in memory of my father, Marvin O. Sparks.

He's the best Dad a girl can ask for, and will be forever missed.

If you knew him, then you knew how to laugh, and have a good time. He was always smiling, and sometimes that smile was a mischievious one!

I love you, Always and Forever, Dad. I am so pleased that you are happy now, and not hurting, or suffering anymore. Please keep an eye on your granddaughter up there, and I'll meet you all again someday.

Marvin O'Dell Sparks

(August 25, 1950 - July 11, 2010)

Marvin O'Dell Sparks of Green Forest, AR died Sunday, July 11th at the age of 59. He was born August 25, 1950 in Oklahoma City, OK to the late Boyd Samuel and Sarah Evelyn "Fultz" Sparks. Marvin graduated from Capital Hill High School (class of 1968) in Oklahoma City, OK. In the early 70's he moved to the Chicago area where he lived until around 1990 when he moved back to (home) Carroll County. Before becoming disabled he was employed at Tyson's in Berryville. Marvin enjoyed the simple things in life like working puzzles, playing games, watching movies and visiting with his friends. He was an avid CHICAGO CUBS baseball fan. He was affiliated with the Alpena United Methodist Church. He is survived by his daughter Kristen Sarah Sparks and fiancé Tony Marcuccilli, of Bartlett, IL, stepchildren, Jill Zako and Eric Zako, sisters, Gaylon Marie Sparks, of Moore, OK, Teresa Jean Sparks, of Hickory Hills, IL, Deborah Ann Heathcock, of Ash Fork, Arizona, step- granddaughter, Haley and soon to be grandchild due Jan. 2011. Besides his parents, Mr. Sparks is preceded in death by his brothers Boyd Wayne Sparks, Buddy James Arthur Sparks, and Peanut Marcuccilli. Celebration Of Life Services will be 1:00 PM Wednesday, July 14, 2010 at Smith Family Funeral Home in Green Forest with Bro. Les Bailey and Bro. Kenneth Booth officiating.
