Betty Ruth Pearson

Betty Ruth Honea passed away October 1, 2021, at Willard Walker Hospice. She was born November 1, 1927, in Wedington, Ark.

Betty was an excellent homemaker. She enjoyed fixing meals for special occasions especially at Easter. Betty worked as a telephone operator for Southwestern Bell in her early years. She enjoyed gardening, canning, reading, and working puzzles. Betty was a member of the Harmon United Methodist Church.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Robert S. Honea; parents, Marshall and Ruth Pearson; and brother, Kenny Pearson.

Betty was survived by her daughters, Marsha Mounce of Springdale, and Sandi Wilbanks and husband John of Muldrow, Oklahoma; two grandchildren, Greg Bland and wife Julie of Fayetteville, and Rachel Bale and husband Jim of Fayetteville; and four great-grandchildren, Evan Bland, Pearson Bland, Kathryn Bale and Aaron Bale, and numerous nieces and nephews.

Funeral services will be 2 p.m., Tuesday, October 5, 2021, at Nelson Berna Funeral Home in Fayetteville, Ark. Burial will follow at Wedington Cemetery, Wedington, Ark. Visitation will be from 5-7 p.m., Monday, October 4, 2021, at Nelson Berna Funeral Home in Fayetteville.
