Linda Nell (Williams) Steward

70 a resident of Springdale, AR, left to join her Father and Mother in heaven on August 24, 2016, at The Maples in Har-Ber Meadows, Springdale. She was born in Pine Bluff, AR, the daughter of the late John D “Red” Williams SR and Gracie V Williams.

Linda is survived by three brothers, John D Williams JR and Connie of Fayetteville, AR; Tommy J Williams and Terri of Alexander, AR; Jerry W Williams and Pearlie Williams of Sheridan, AR, and numerous nieces and nephews.

Upon graduation from Sheridan High School in 1965, Linda attended the Hot Springs Rehabilitation Center in Hot Springs, AR. It was at this time in her life that she began a lifelong passion of collecting over 2,500 cookbooks. Linda mastered her culinary skills and enjoyed the simple things in life such as making wonderful cakes to be auctioned at the church to help with Fundraisers. She was a long serving member of the Sheridan Pentecostal Church of God.

On a personal note, Linda worked hard at networking with family and friends. She was an artful birthday and anniversary card sender. She never forgot a name, address or telephone number. She was the self-proclaimed family Historian. Always buying cards by the boxes, the postal service loved her. She enjoyed reading and studying the bible.

Graveside services will be held on Tuesday, August 30, 2016, at 11:00 am at the New Hope Cemetery south of Sheridan near the Cross Roads Community.

The family would like to acknowledge the kindness and support which was provided by the staff at The Maples in Har-Ber Meadows, Springdale, AR.
