Notes for DAVID CUNNINGHAM:
Rev David Cunningham emmigrated from Dublin Ireland in 1752 and became a Revolutionary Soldier in Capt Cunningham's CO. David was converted to Methodism by the great evangelist John Westley.
Influenced by John Wesley he entered the ministry after the Revolutionary War and returned to Culpepper VA. He died while holding a eligous meeting ib Dent's Run, VA with William Kendall.
Rev Kendall tied his body to his horse and reutrned him to his family in Culpepper.
