Imogene Walton, daughter of John and Gertrude (Goldman) Barnes was born March 2, 1919 in Sugar Hill, Arkansas and departed this life to be with our Lord on May 21, 2013 in Fayetteville, Arkansas at the age of 94 years, 2 months and 19 days.
She loved to play BINGO, plant flowers and work in her yard. She also loved every family member and enjoyed spending time with them. She was of the Baptist faith. She worked for Campbell Soup for 29 years and in her younger years during World War II she worked as a “Rosie the Riveter” putting noses on B-17 and B-24 planes.
Imogene was preceded in death by her parents; John and Gertie Barnes, siblings; Roy Barnes, Frank Barnes, Harold Barnes, Louise Bottoms, Ruby Cummings, Bernice Finical and her children’s father; Louie Walton.
She is survived by a very loving family that includes her children; Lou Jean Wyche and husband Larry of Stilwell, OK, David Walton and wife Phyllis of Lincoln, AR, 6 grandchildren; Tracy Wyche O’Neal, Stacy Wyche both of Stilwell, OK, Bobbi Jo Crooch and husband Bob of Checotah, OK, Angie Walton of Lincoln, AR, Kim Walton and companion Brandon Bagsby of Fayetteville, AR, Jim Buck Walton and companion Ali Mangrum of Farmington, AR, 11 great grandchildren; Nikki Brown and her daughter KaLeah Gamble, Jerod Kimble, Rainey Phillips, Malik Bagsby, Bayden Walton, Colby Philpott, Saylor Stidham, Riley O’neal, Ava Bagsby and Jake Wilson. 2 sisters; Jetty Villines and husband Lawton of Lincoln, AR, Juanita Bradford of Springdale, AR, special friends; Bonnie Melton, Edith Schmit, Mutt Reed, several nieces, nephews, other relatives and many friends also survive her.

Funeral services were held at 10 am on Friday, May 24, 2013 at First Baptist Church of Lincoln, Arkansas with Bro. Randy Maggard officiating. Interment followed at Sugar Hill Cemetery, Sugar Hill, Arkansas under the direction of Roberts/Reed-Culver Funeral Home.
