Rhea County, Tennessee
RUSSELL, James B. - The death of Mr. James B. Russell at Boonsboro
last Friday removes from our midst one of the oldest and most prominent
citizens of Washington county. He came with the first settlers of the country
about sixty years ago and during all that long period he has lived an
honorable, upright life and has ever been a valuable citizen to the community.
While his health has not been good of late yet he has been able to be
up most of the time and even made a visit the day before his death. He was
stricken down with paralysis last Friday and died in a short time at the
advanced age of 86. Many friends mourn his death. [Fayetteville Democrat
