Note: NOTE: In early research of this family with Lois (Jobe) Cunningham about 1970, there was some discussion whether his middle name was Pryor or Preston and there was more evidence pointing to the middle name or Pryor - though nothing was ever proven for sure. Most of the descendnats have the name Preston - though we never did figure out where this name originated from. His son William Virgil had in his possession, his father's army canteen and bayonet, his Confederate uniform, and other articles.
