Notes

Peggy Sue Fields

Age 87, a resident of Lincoln, Arkansas, passed away peacefully at home Friday, February 9, 2024. She was born July 24, 1936 in Mineral Springs, Arkansas, (close to Greenland) the daughter of Ervin and Mildred (Swonger) Camp.

She attended Mineral Springs School till the 2nd grade then transferred to Greenland School where she graduated in 1954. Peggy and her parents and siblings moved to the Piney, Oklahoma area in 1954. She met the love of her life, Robert (Bob) Fields and were married July 23, 1955. They were married for 49 years until his passing in 2005. They had two daughters: Patricia (Patty) Fields of Lincoln, Arkansas, and Donna Elmore and son-in-law Buddy of Mansfield, Arkansas. She had two grandchildren Tonya Alexander and husband Bryan of Edmond, Oklahoma, and Brad Elmore of Huntington, Arkansas; five great grandchildren Haylee Alexander, Landon Alexander, Savannah Alexander, Skylynn Harris, and Bryson Elmore.

Bob and Peggy spent so much time together working on the farm, raising cattle, growing chickens for 10 years with Tyson where she was #1 grower four times. Bob was a master plumber so Peggy would go with hm to work getting him tools or going under the house if she had to help.

Peggy was an amazing animal whisperer whether it be horses, dogs, cows, cats or a pet pigeon that she had for fourteen years. She loved her garden also. One summer she canned 300 quarts of green beans. The garden was still producing - she just got tired of picking them. She also loved to grow flowers.

She was a #1 Razorback Fan no matter what their season! Her number one passion was family: her parents, her children, grandchildren and her siblings: Bill Camp and his wife Sheila, Janie Kisner and her husband Leon, and Kathy Rankin and her husband Gary, and Bob's side of the family as well.

She was preceded in death by her parents Ervin and Mildred Camp, her in laws George Dewey Fields and Cisiah Fields of Waynesburg, Kentucky, her grandparents Paul and Lela Swonger, her nephew Ricky Camp, her brother Bill Camp who was her best friend, and her loving husband Bob Fields.

The family will receive friends Thursday, February 15, 2024, 7:00-8:00 PM at Luginbuel Funeral Home.
