Zorene R. Dearing
89, a resident of Fayetteville, Arkansas, passed away May 14, 2011 at Butterfield Trail Village in Fayetteville, Arkansas. She was born February 10, 1922 at Prairie Grove, Arkansas, the daughter
of Ben and Lena Caroline Stone Neal.
After she and husband George Dearing were married in 1940, they lived on a large farm near Springdale. In addition to other animals, they raised Hereford cattle. After retirement they moved to Prairie Grove and after her husband passed away in 1982, she moved to Fayetteville and moved into Butterfield Trail Village in 2001.
She liked to fish, enjoyed traveling, and visited Hawaii, Caribbean Islands and she cruised the Mississippi River.
She retired from Baldwin Piano in Fayetteville, and was a full time volunteer at the Washington Regional Medical Center in Fayetteville. While volunteering at the Medical Center she logged over 31,000 hours before her retirement.
While at the Butterfield Trail Village she enjoyed doing volunteer work checking the meal tickets. She enjoyed playing cards and other activities and will be greatly missed by her friends at Butterfield and by others for her joking ways.
She was preceded in death by one her husband George Dearing, her parents, one brother Hartzel Neal and three sisters, Lillian Shafer, Mildred Hart, and Reba Ward.
Survivors include her sister, Nadine Carpenter and her husband, Bob of Midwest City, Oklahoma, several nieces and nephews.
There will be no visitation held.
Funeral Service will be held Monday, May 16, 2011-1:00 P.M. at Luginbuel Chapel in Prairie Grove, Arkansas with Matthew Johnson officiating. Burial will be in the Prairie Grove Cemetery, there will be no graveside services held at the cemetery.
