Mary Lena Lacey Phillips

Age 94, a resident of Farmington, Arkansas, passed away Monday, January 25, 2021 at Washington Regional Medical Center in Fayetteville, Arkansas. She was born April 26, 1926 in Cane Hill, Arkansas, the daughter of William Eldon and Julia Eveline (Phillips) Lacey.

She leaves a tremendous legacy and life of love and devotion to her God, her church, her family and her friends.

Mary retired from the Northwest Arkansas Times.

She was preceded in death by her husband John Alvin "Doug" Phillips, her parents, one son Bobby Phillips, one son-in-law Coy Dale Fitts, two brothers Eldon Lacey and Jerry Vickery, two sisters Helen Phillips and Carma Lorenz and four grandsons Johnny White, Ronnie Halbrook, Rick Phillips and Timmy Phillips.

Survivors include four sons Jimmy Phillips of Winslow, Arkansas, Buck Phillips and his wife Colleen of Siloam Springs, Arkansas, Lloyd Phillips and his wife Bev of Fayetteville, Arkansas and Tommy Phillips of Pendleton, South Carolina; five daughters Venita Shorb and her husband Dennis of Shell Knob, Missouri, Carline Provence and her husband Dewayne of Springdale, Arkansas, Mary Katherine Phillips Beach and her husband Wayne of Fayetteville, Arkansas, Viola Phillips and her husband Shannon Smith of Fayetteville, Arkansas and Julia "Julie" Janell Phillips Fitts of Prairie Grove, Arkansas; one sister Geneva Sinor and her husband Paul of Farmington, Arkansas; sixteen grandchildren and eighteen great grandchildren.

Honorary Pallbearers will be her grandchildren Delois Phillips, Brenda Snawder, Dan Phillips, Bobby Dale Phillips, Stephen Phillips, Michael White, Douglas Provence, Maridith Gebhart, Nick Beach, Natalie Yates, Lindsey Peterson, Julie Peterson, Benjamin Peterson, Colby Fitts, Cory Fitts and Casey Fitts and her great grandchildren Kyler Snawder, Haylee Snawder, Ravenne Reynolds, Marry Emma Gebhart, Krew Beach, baby boy Beach, Livie Yates, Sam Yates, Alexis Peterson, Desmond Peterson, Kynslie Fitts, Kaidyn Fitts, Adielyn Fitts, Nyah Fitts, Jaxson Fitts, Coy Fitts, Cayde Fitts, and Brandon Fitts.

Funeral service will be held 2:00 PM Friday, January 29th, 2021, at Farmington Cemetery Pavilion in Farmington, Arkansas.
