Ina Faye Maxwell Hatfield, age 90, passed away peacefully Friday, January 26, 2024, at Washington Regional Hospital in Fayetteville, AR., with her loving family by her side. She was born in Cane Hill, Washington County Arkansas on January 21, 1934, to William Logan and Ina Elizabeth (Crawford) Maxwell.
She attended school in Prairie Grove and married Bobby Frank Hatfield of Fayetteville on March 16, 1951. She worked for Dillion Grocery Store where she made lifelong friends. Faye and her husband Bobby were dairy and poultry farmers in Farmington. She was active in the ladies’ group of the Washington County Farm Bureau. She was also an active member of Trinity Methodist Church in Fayetteville. She was a member of the woman’s circle and helped cook hundreds of church meals. After retiring from farming, Bobby and Faye moved to War Eagle Cove on Beaver Lake where they enjoyed lake life with neighbors and having gatherings at their home with family and friends. They enjoyed traveling to South Texas during the winter months for 19 years.
Faye was preceded in death by her parents, William Logan, and Ina Elizabeth Maxwell; her husband Bobby Hatfield; her sisters, Gladys Larue, Bonnie Eloise, and Vivian Nell. She is survived by three children, Linda Davis (Terry) of Bentonville, Donald Hatfield (Peggy) of Prairie Grove, and Karen Stowe-Rains (George) of Fayetteville, six grandchildren and ten great-grandchildren and by her twin brother Billy Ray Maxwell (Joann) of Fayetteville.
Visitation and service will be at Nelson-Berna Funeral Home on Crossover Road in Fayetteville, Thursday, February 1, visitation 1:00-2:30 and funeral service at 2:30, followed by a graveside service at Mt. Comfort Cemetery on Mt Comfort Road, Fayetteville.
