HALL, Green Berry - Green Beery Hall, of Combs, died January 5, 1930 and was buried in

the Ledbetter Cemetery by the side of his first wife. He was born August 12, 1842 in Georgia

and was a son of Hiram and Charity (Merritt) Hall. Mr. Hall was a Confederate veteran serving

in Company G, 401

h Georgia Infantry and was awarded a veterans pension# 10521 which he

had applied for on August 9, 1906. Mr. Hall was married three times, his first wife being Sarah

Ellan Bradley, whom he married March 25, 1866 and she passed July 23, 1911. He then

married Mrs. Virginia (Spradling) Alderson November 26, 1912 and after her death he married

Nancy Louvenia Magnolia "Nola" (Burrell) Judy, on June 7, 1928 and who survived him. G.B.

Green Berry Hall of Combs was born in Georgia, August 12, 1842, a son of Hiram and

Charity (Merritt) Hall. At the out break of war, he enlisted in Company G, 401

h Georgia Infantry

of the Confederate States army. On March 25, 1866, he married Miss Sarah Ellen Bradley,

who died July 23, 1911 He then married Mrs. Virginia (Spradling) Alderson on November 26,

1912. and later became the second husband of Nancy Louvenia Magnolia "Nola" (Burrell) Judy

on June 9, 1928. Nola's husband, Richard H. Judy had died in 1927, and when she died later,

she was buried with him in Bud Patrick Cemetery. Mr. Hall's remains were interred in the

Ledbetter Cemetery. [Madison County Record 111611930]

G.B. Hall filed Veteran Application #10521 with the Confederate Pension Board of Madison

County for a Confederate pension and it was received as allowed August 9, 1906 at the State,

citing service with Company G, 40thGeorgia Infantry from enlistment until 1864. Mr. Hall died

January 5, 1930. His widow, Nola Hall filed Widow Application #10521 and was allowed a
